SURGERIES CAME TO A END!

Finally, last one. All done, over YAY! Hernia operation went well, we are now on the road to recovery. Mr B is actually doing wonderful. Moving around, playing again. Starting to walk normal. He is happy because soon he will be able to play like everyone else again. We kept him out of school this week, due to knowing the bullies. KNOWING that someone would take the opertunity to kick him right in the incision. So we wanted to make sure that would not happen. But boy, with feeling better, came attitude. lol. But hopefully we are now past that. Its been a otherwise non-eventful. Been just trying to regain my house from CHAOS (remember flylady here lol) Its been a mess. Been busy dealing with recovery and not dealing with the messes. So tackling this, and then back to decluttering I go. Hope to get rid of anything that does not make me happy.  I have been working on this for 6 years and I am very happy at how much better it has gotten. FLylady has done wonders for my home. And kept me from going insane during the surgery times.

1 more day…

Tomorrow morning Mr B has his surgery. This has been such a long wait. Poor kid, even he is ready to throw a party now that the time has come. We are taking him out to dinner(well the other kid gets to go too lol) tonight. Just like we did for the youngest before he had surgery on his mouth. Ready for it all to end and then we will be able to get back on schedule and things settled again.
Homeschooling is getting closer. I have been looking up different units and making a list of all the stuff that goes together. Going to pick up some workbooks each time we go through a store. Then I should have mostly everything to begin. Need to get craft stuff and plastic tubs. Ahhh it will come into place. I hope..

MOBILITY!!!

YAY!! Today I got the first squeezee hug from my hubby! He has more mobility and strength! He has not been able to give me a good hug in awhile. It was nice! And nice to know he is healing well.

Now…Temper tantrums…These are one thing that can send me through a roof in less than a second! I can not STAND temper tantrums. Today, my loving 6 year old…well is deciding that temper tantrums are the way to go. Does not want to do his homework, does not want to do anything that hes asked.. I really need some good ideas on dealing with these. Normally, I send them to their rooms for 5 min to reflect. But I do not think this is working. I am not big on spanking. If there is a spanking given, there better be a good reason. I am big on making them understand THEY are responsible for their own behavior. And that there are consequences for wrong behavior and rewards for good. Now in all honesty. I do have to work on the rewards a little more. Some days you forget to say, you know you were really good today….And we all need those pats on the back.

Uggg Ok I guess its time to try to deal with this tantrum. Was ignoring it, but now its esculating.

1 DOWN 1 TO GO!

My husband had his surgery this morning. And did wonderful. They took off the bone spur, and shaved the distal clavicle. Also they removed the inflamed bursa sack. We have pictures but hmmmm not sure anyone would really want to see them haha! He woke up good, and as soon as they finally got pain to subside(well for the most part) we were able to go home. Right now he has his arm in a sling, and his shoulder bandaged up good. Pain medicine seems to have him comfortable. Sweetest thing was the first question he asked. “Is my wife waiting” He asked them if they told me he was ok. I swear I love him.
2 more weeks and our oldest son goes under the knife. I think he is so ready for this to be over. Tired of hurting.
Thanks to everyone who have called and sent emails and messages to wish us well. We are glad this part is over. All thats left is to recuperate.

WE HAVE DATES!!!

Boy yesterday was eventful. After spending all day running around and doctor appointments galore. We finally have dates. Mr B, he will go Feb 20 to have the hernia dealt with. So only a little while longer. Hubby goes Friday to have that shoulder fixed. So he should be well enough to help me with Mr B. Then we got to add a sickness on top of that. (hmm can we say, when it rains it pours) Took the bear to the doc because his lungs have sounded awful. Very bad cough and fever all weekend. Well he ended up with pneumonia. They have him on a inhaler. Discussing the fact the asthma they did not want to diagnose him with. Well it looks as if they are going to. His lungs just have taken such a beating. Plus poor kid has ear infections. So he spent last night screaming bloody murder because his ears hurt so bad.

We are looking forward to the month of March. It will all be over. We hope….

Needless to say, I don’t feel overwhelmed like I thought I would. Seems like now that we know when, I feel better.  Will keep this updated the best I can. i know here in a couple days I will be busy helping hubby get well. 😀
